Scope a first release

A system nobody can see into is a system everybody is guessing about.

An agent that cannot be sampled after the fact leaves you with two bad options when it goes wrong, which are to trust the vendor's account of what happened or to reproduce the failure yourself, and the second of those is usually impossible because the conditions have moved on.

Diligence lands on exactly this point. An investor is not asking which model sits underneath, they are asking what you could put in front of them if a customer complained tomorrow, and whether it would correlate with what your dashboard says.
